Art Work
The creative arts have always been a safe space for me, where I can express myself and be my authentic self. It allows me to tell a story without having to speak; it’s a form of meditation. My earliest memories were painting with my grandmother in her art studio.
As my health deteriorated, I focused my energy on art and writing. With time, I realized that I could turn the pain I’m feeling into beautiful art. Art helps me cope with life challenges, and allows me to communicate my emotions that I’m feeling. Below are examples of this.
I could turn my pain into
something powerful and beautiful.”
